Cultech pay quartiles

Cultech’s gender pay gap data was collected for the snapshot date of 5th April 2023 and based on the full-pay relevant employees during the period in which the snapshot fell, i.e. 1st – 30th April 2023. Full pay relevant employees are employees paid their usual full basic pay during the pay period in which the snapshot falls.

Employees paid less than their usual basic due to unpaid absence, such as sickness, jury service, etc., must be excluded from the list. Of the total full-pay relevant employees on the snapshot date of 5th April 2022, 58% were men, and 42% were women.

Cultech median gender pay gap

To calculate our median gender pay gap, we rank all employees by hourly pay (this will be the contracted hourly rate unless shift allowance is included in the pay period). We then compare what the woman in the middle of the female pay range received with what the man in the middle of the male pay range received.
The difference between these figures is the median gender pay gap.

Median hourly pay£14.33£12.6911.3%
When comparing average hourly wages (median) women receive 89p for every £1 that men receive.

Cultech mean gender pay gap

To calculate our mean gender pay gap, we add together all the hourly pay rates (this will be the contracted hourly rate unless shift allowance is included in the pay period) that the women employees received, divided by the number of women employees.

We then repeat this calculation for the male employees.

The difference between these figures is the mean gender pay gap.
